dude, seriously just play retail... i play LOTRO retail right now, and its worth ever dollar. its not even grind based besides traits/deeds (and even then the most you've had to kill so far is 450 of one type of monster in an area) its all quest based levelling, if you try to grind to 50... it will easily take 3x+ longer... you dont need higher rates or drops for this game either as most of the best stuff is either crafted OR raid drops/barter items... plus the community is pretty damn helpful in retail here.

The only problem with LOTRO is the total lack of PVP side of the game . It the reason i quited playing LOTRO after i made a lvl 50 Guardina dwarf .

But its true that the game is fun and the comunity is very cool .
I might give it another try someday .

ahh dude, they are increasing the level cap to 60 this coming fall so october ish i think...

and the "PVP" in the game is playing against players who are playing as monsters in the ettenmoors, you can have a hell of a lot of fun if you get in a good raid group there.. trust me :D

you can't go around killing everyone though because that would not fit well with the storyline of LOTR. the game is all about the storyline, thats where it started and thats where they focus :)

give it another shot it should be fun...

i'm working up my 2nd character got him to 25 so far, hes a champ, my main is a 50 guard dwarf.

i can see how you dont like the game if you aren't really a fan of the whole LOTR thing :cool:
