Vote your server un hopzoneweb is every 24 or 12 hours?

As the tittle says, if you want your vote be correct, you must vote every 24 or 12hrs?

Just I have a reminder for the players, and I set it up for every 24 hours but they notice me, it is every 12hrs.

it used to be 24 hours, but i guess it was made 12 hours for some reason? not sure but it seems that they have some anti-flooding system which obviously they cant give too much info about that blocks votes by people that repeatedly try to vote, or check the server status through voting.

Ahmed, you are right . All i can say is that the time between votes is dynamic. (12/24).

hmm... i'm right about ALL that i said ;)? so thats probably the reason i am not able to vote at all sometimes xD....the way i get to my server's listing in hopzone is by clicking my bookmark on firefox to vote xD so i get blocked out i guess :'(

So, I have a trouble to get popularity.

I try to explain myself, the reminder works in this way, while you are in vote time, you have available the button to vote, but, when your vote can be lost, then the button is hiden. Only appears when 24hrs are passed.

If sometimes the vote is every 12 hours I lose about 100 votes :(

i don't think you actually lose any votes. its based on your users(players) and the timer is put on your users IP. SO its Every 12 hours from every vote you make, so if i vote at 1:00 today then at 13:00 i can vote again. BUT if i voted at 6:00 then at 18:00 you can vote again. So you don't really LOSE votes.

Just it's not every 12 hrs, it's dinamic, it is balanced between 12 and 24 hrs.

The reminder doesnt let you vote before (in my web), because maybe, if the vote this time was every 24hrs and you go for voting earlier, that vote is null, and the time counter of hopzone... count it? Then it was really a lost vote, because that IP can't vote until next validation of that IP, so... could be until 47 hrs (1 to 3 votes lost).

My reminder of the web, doesnt show the button to vote for that incidence.

The point is, you dont know how much votes have been out, then you can't be sure about if the popularity of your server in the ranking could be better or not.

And my question is, Did I good work with the reminder?
I think yes, if hopzone's time counter, counts the null IP for voting. I did bad if the counter doesnt restart with that IP (null vote).

And this task is more complicated if the time vote is variable, as it is done now (very smart).

Well i guess thats kind of what I'm saying, most of my players CONSTANTLY check if the server is up if they are not online by voting, if they've already voted, and the server is up (like always xD) then they get anti-flooded and don't get to vote. I'm pretty sure that when you see the green txt you're vote has been registered. But I don't think this adds to your voting session. I think it just disallows you to vote for a period of time. If you see the black text means your vote isn't counting because you've already voted. If you see the Green text then your vote just counted. If you are one of those ppl (like me) that constantly checks hopzone's vote page by voting to get routed to your info page and you are POSITIVE that 12 or 24 hours have passed, then you can just delete your browsers cache and cookies, and it should give you a green text telling you thank you for voting or w/e the txt is (i'm pretty sure this works, correct me admins if i'm wrong xD).

It's a point to think about it.

Just, people who really like the server, vote it.

I got more votes offering adenas per level than in honesty way, but, it is not serious and come players who aren't welcome.

I didn't check how many are voting... 43 usual voters, and I have... almost 700 usual pjs (unless once playing per week), I think that really are playing 200 players with severals pjs, so... if everybody do what you say, I would be in first page of hopzone easily, but people is lazy and doesnt like work more than a click. :D

Well thats why you gotta motivate them lol.... Make it nice and fun and remind them to vote all the time, do what i do on my server: Stay active with the players always talk to them on the forums, answer EVERY question they pose, show them that you're active and you care and build friendships with them. Friends tend to vote more than strangers do ;). Tell your GMs to be that way etc etc etc i'm sure you know what i mean ;D.
