Votes only from HZ uers

We want to move the voting system to the next step. We want the votes to be made only by the registered users of HZ .
What's your oppinion ?

Either i started this post in the wrong section, either the interest in this modification is very low. if it's the second i wonder why :confused:

People do care, but they will only reply when given a reason to complain....

If you make the vote system to only take registered users, that means people will have to sign in to vote for their servers (would be nice if you had auto login)

also if you made it for registered users there will be less spam voting (which there is still ways to do that unnoticed)


also you stand to gain more traffic to your website, im not totally sure but Hopzone.net is worth over or close to 200 thousand dollars (congrats).....


In my opinion, allowing votes to be done without registering speeds up the voting process so people can continue the game....and it takes less work...

unless you get an auto login system where people type in your address and the system logs the user in then i dont suggest votes be done by registered users... But that's just my two cents
as we all know....

[PLAYER] brilliant idea in my opinion, i've seen servers with 800+ votes, then when i log in the server there's 2-3 players online (during peak hours and not directly after a restart) :eek:

Also there are cookies/browser settings that solve the issue of having to log on every time u vote, so i don't see how that would be an much of an issue

Not to be a sore thumb but,

i never seen a server with 800 votes with only 2 - 4 people, maybe 30 - 40..

and its because there dedicated doesnt mean there cheating.. you are allowed to vote twice perday 30 people times 2 = 60 x 30 = 1800 votes, just need a dedicated community....


but what hopzone is talking about is making people register before voting...

and it will not prevent servers from getting votes they just have to register pior to voting... which means logging in twice a day just to vote then logging out.

Most people would just see it as a waste of time to log in vote and log out... they will see it as too much trouble cause the banner that you click on takes you to hopzone to vote and thats it, but then if you add the logging in part people might just hate it...

and we will see the voting count go down for alot of servers and see topsites like Extreme or Lineage Top 100 get more servers and people will focus on that...

People would rather prefer to play Lineage and dont mind taking a minute to click the voting link. But having to log in might make them hesitate to vote at all which will hurt a few servers on hopzone. Sending them to another website to vote for there servers which wouldnt request you log in first...

but one again just a few ideas from a faceless expresion

I dont like the new system. Admins will tell to the players "vote us 10 in all", and people will do it, also if someone is disgusted with the server the vote will be always "1" and if you hate a server everyday he will lose "one 10 vote".

Still without like it same reasons and as people tells, excluded people will always vote negative.

Probably would be nice vote 1 or 0 because no one will make a real vote.
