Mu server set up guide (this is the way i got mine working)
Works for 97+99 and for any Drive
go to www.no-ip.com (http://www.no-ip.com/) and make an make no ip address from this ip here www.whatismyip.com (http://www.whatismyip.com/)
once made it replace the ip with the no-ip adress here (open with notepad)
X:/Muserver/CS/connectserverlist
X/Muserver/CS/data/connectserverlist
X/Muserver/CS/data/Serverinfo (if there is \\ infront of adress delete it)
X/Muserver/CS/Data/serverlist
X/Muserver/Data/commonserver (Change all 3 ips to 127.0.0.1 here)
X/Muserver/data/lang/Chs/commonlog
or
X/Muserver/data/lang/Kor/commonlog (whatever one is in commonserver)
X/Muserver/Links right click on link 4 and 8 and set the ip to 127.0.0.1
NOW MAKEING DATABASES
open SQl enterprise manager
Now click on SQLservergroup>Local(WindowsNT)>DataBases then left click new database
Call it Muonline then make another one called Ranking
Left click on muonline>all tasks>restore database>from device>select devices find your muserver folder then
click on dbbacks>then Mu online
click on options then change the "Move To Physical file name"
to
X:/Muserver/db/Muonline_data.mdf
X:/Muserver/db/Muonline_log.ldf
do the same for ranking useing the ranking Db Back and the
"Move To Physical file name" to
X:/Muserver/db/Ranking_data.MDF
X/Muserver/db/Ranking_log.LDF
Now run the odcb reg file (File at bottom of post)
if you are using ver 99 go to
Control Pannel>administrative tools>Data Sources(OCDB)>System DSN
Click Add Then scrool down till u find SQL Server then click finish then Name it
Ranking and for server put it as local and the default DB to Ranking
IF YOU NOT USEING A ROUTER RUN LINKS 1-8 NOW AND ENJOY
IF YOU ARE USING A ROUTER KEEP READING
Now to open the ports go to
Start>Run>type cmd then once in the command promp type ipconfig write down the
defaut gateway in a internet browser
Go to http://www.portforward.com/ and find ur router and open these ports
44405 TCP
55901 TCP
then run links 1-8 then it should be done
ANY PROBLEMS POST HERE
IF YOU WANT TO PROTECT YOUR SERVER FROM BEING BLASTED
DOWNLOAD SYGATE FIREWALL AND BLOCK DATASERVER 1 & 2
