OK. Because this was needed i found a little time to post some HopZone.Net rules.
All rule sets are inclusive of each other.
Meaning any and all of the rules from one section apply to another.
DO NOT DELETE A SERVER AND RE-ADD IT. EDIT AND USE EXISTING LISTING.
EDIT YOUR SERVER. DO NOT DELETE IT JUST TO CHANGE INFO.
DO NOT CREATE A NEW USER ACCOUNT JUST TO LIST IT AGAIN.
If you can't edit something, we can.
"Adding a server" rules :
Note: Any of the IP's in these ranges can not be used for your listing. These are nonroutable LAN addresses.
127.0.0.1
10.1.1.1 - 10.255.255.254
172.16.1.1 - 172.31.255.254
192.168.1.1 - 192.168.255.254
Due to the way that Hamachi works we are unable to list these servers.
Your server will always appear offline to us and we can not list it.
If you are not the server admin. DO NOT add the server.
How to add a server to the list (http://forums.hopzone.net/showthread.php?t=173)
1) SERVER MUST BE ONLINE TO BE APPROVED.
2) No testing servers allowed.
(If your not serious about running a server, don't bother making a listing)
(Servers need to be online for more than a third of the day)
3) Names:
Do not add server version in the servername when you fill the form. Gracia, Hellbound, Kamael, Interlude, C6 C5 C4 C3 Scions of Destiny... ..
Deceptively similar names and Impersonation:
Impersonating another individual on the Internet is against the law.
It constitutes and falls under Identity Theft and/or Fraud.
Under no circumstance will we allow any server name or username to be deceptively similar to Hopzone or its staff.
Server names that are similiar to each other is up to the respective server owners to dispute among themselves.
4) Servers must be FREE Public servers. See NOTE below.
(You can have any registration method, but the public must be allowed to play for free)
5) No illegal or crap info allowed in the listing form.
(those things are checked before they arrive in the list)
Submitting false IP, port, website info will get your server banned.
6) No links to files are allowed
7) The server will be deleted if it is found to be offline for 3 days.
(And no, votes will NOT be restored)
(Check your server listing messages for warnings)
(Servers need to be online for more than a third of the day)
8) You must have a working website or a forum (Homepage) for users to contact you.
(Hopzone is NOT to be used for your player support, game play support - players must be able to contact you for that support)
(Invalid links will cause server deletion at approval)
a). Hopzone banner must be publicly displayed on your homepage.
1. Vote link/banner may not be in any script, program, launcher, loader, updater, floating, etc...
2. Voting banner MUST BE ON your homepage.
3. The link must be. (http://l2.hopzone.net/vote.php?site=#####).
What this means is:
1. No more floating banners, no vote scripts, no vote or wait redirects, no popups, no flash, no js. No client side scripts; launcher. loader, updater....
This does not mean that you can't have flash or js on your site, it just means the Hz vote banner can not be used in it.
Nothing but a plain and simple Hz banner. (You may use your own banner, but the same rules apply, See #3 below)
2. The Hopzone vote banner MUST be found on your homepage.
3. The link must be our link. (http://l2.hopzone.net/vote.php?site=#####)
If you plan not to use the voting banners we provide (because of various reasons), the banner must contain our name (HopZone) not "vote" or "vote for us".
Good example should be: "vote for us on HopZone".
(Second server listing requires a second ad display)
REMOVAL of the hopzone link or other required info constitutes our removal of your site from the list.
9) You are required to keep the submitted Server listing information up to date.
(This includes removal of your server if you close)
10) Connection info, Vote link must be on your webpage, not in the server description, info, news or comment area.
(also see 8.a above)
11) If you have a server in a offline list, you will not be allowed to add a server until the offline server is corrected.
This includes deleted servers.
(Deleting a server does not remove it from our database.)
Admins Also Note:
Our users are allowed to post both good and bad points of the servers in the Comments area. (Within the rules, of course). If this is not something a server admin wants, you may not want to list it here.
NOTE: The following have always been the rules of Hopzone, whether they were defined or not. I am really suprised that I have to define the words FREE and Public
(Some comments below are the result of player questions)
All servers on the list must be FREE "Public" servers.
FREE - You may not charge people to play. You may ask for donations for your server, but in no way may you "force" donations making it a pay to play server.
Click to play also falls under this rule.
Public - The server must allow all players. No private, "just for ....." servers are allowed.
(Server population limits are a different story, if someone can't play because your population limit was reached does not make it a private server.)
(Restricted servers, you can restrict anything in game, as long as anyone may register and play. What happens in game is your business).

I don`t have time to spend on every webpage to search for emails to tell ppl to change their IP ...
The server will be deleted in 2 days if ip is not updated.
Soon i`ll make the system to delete the server from the list if it is offline more than 3 days . (of course if i receive announcement about scheduled offline there is no problem).}
That's kinda all . In time i'll think those rules will grow up, i'm not nostradamus . i can't think of all
Your use of this forum or any other address owned or operated by Hopzone affirms your acceptance of the above rules.
